10 Shots

In this Two-Shot Israel and Brett are having a conversation together.

I am focusing on Brett's upper half above his knees in this Medium Shot.

In this Low-Angle Shot, the subject, Khang, is looking down on the camera.

This Full Shot is capturing Kevin's whole body head-to-toe.

In this Follow Shot, Brett moves forward and I follow his actions.

In this Close-Up, I focus on Israel's phone looking at the black screen.

In this Close Shot, I also focus on Israel waiting to see if he did something.

This Extreme Close-Up focuses on Khang's eyes and glasses.

In this Long-Shot, there are two people walking to the front of the school and being                                                                           surrounded by a lot of green trees.

This Point-Of-View Shot captures me walking outside in my slides.

  1. Explain which of their shots you enjoyed and what type of emotions could be felt from them. I liked the POV shot and the extreme close up shot. In the extreme close up shot, I felt very intimate with the actor (Khang). It showed that he was important when regarding the scene. The POV shot allowed for me to feel as if I was in Uriel’s shoes, which was really cool.

  2. Uriel I really loved the extreme closeup you did with the eyeball! I was really able to feel a sensation of tension and claustrophobia with a shot that close to the subjects face. Another shot I loved was your POV shot. With that shot I was really able to feel like I was inhabiting that character and the contrast of the dark bricks was able to portray a moody tone. Your use of the low angle shot was able to give the subject a sense of towering scale and portray his importance within the scene.

  3. Uriel I loved your follow shot, point of view shot, and extreme close up shot. The follow shot makes me feel like I'm in the same footsteps as the actor. This is very similar to how I feel with the extreme close up. These shots makes a viewer feel as if they know the actor personally. My favorite shot was the point of view because it was a unique scenery. The brick walkway is a unique addition that adds to such simple shot. Overall, I loved how these shots make me feel close to all characters shot in the films.
