Week 3: Camera Angle Comments

 Mia Witthoff:

To begin with Mia's extreme shot was good. This shot set the setting and I could feel the peacefulness in the school. Personally, I liked the tilt shot the most. This is mainly because of the suspense that was generated because I was wondering if there was someone at the top, which there was. In addition, there was also suspense generated in the close up shot. This is because the close up focused on someone trying to open a locker and you just wonder what could be in it.

Israel Ramirez:

Israel's establishing shot was very good. As I said earlier with Mia, his shot was able to set a setting as he overlooks Lely High School from the balcony. You can see and feel how peaceful it is. In addition, the full shot was done well as he captured three people interacting with each other. My favorite one was the head on shot. This shot showed the subject opening a fridge and seeing what his next snack will be. Very good.

10 Shots

In this Two-Shot Israel and Brett are having a conversation together.

I am focusing on Brett's upper half above his knees in this Medium Shot.

In this Low-Angle Shot, the subject, Khang, is looking down on the camera.

This Full Shot is capturing Kevin's whole body head-to-toe.

In this Follow Shot, Brett moves forward and I follow his actions.

In this Close-Up, I focus on Israel's phone looking at the black screen.

In this Close Shot, I also focus on Israel waiting to see if he did something.

This Extreme Close-Up focuses on Khang's eyes and glasses.

In this Long-Shot, there are two people walking to the front of the school and being                                                                           surrounded by a lot of green trees.

This Point-Of-View Shot captures me walking outside in my slides.

First Day

To begin with, I am taking this class in order to get the AICE Diploma to pay for my college. I also would like to learn a ton of media skills that could help me when developing a video or something similar to that. These skills would expand my resources in media studies.
